Mud puddles in Mums garden! |
I am not one for having my kids watch TV/DVDs and we encourage them to find things to do outside or use their imagination inside. But is saying that sometimes it is so nice to have a little peace and quiet and be free of constant demands and chatter I chuck on a DVD.
DVD time! |
I am a total Rock-climbing convert (well not me personally) but for kids its great fun. Even Sophie (2) had a turn, granted I had to hold her up and guide her feet as to where to go and she only climbed two metres but still, she was keen as mustard.
The two older boys had challengers to see who could climb the highest and who reach the roof first!

Tom (6) just getting his confidence and didn't make up to the top but was just happy to have a go on nearly every climb on offer.
Kaitlyn (4) oh my, has NO FEAR! She climbed that wall like she was spider-girl! She so does not get that from her mother I tell you.
Kaitlyn |
She yells out way up high and says "Hey I am getting great at this" (clearly she doesn't have a problem patting herself on the back)
That night I had very very tired children but at dinner time Kaitlyn was poking her quiche around (it had broccoli in it) and I told her that "broccoli would make her climb higher next time". She quite liked that idea, so it was quickly devoured. Thomas on the other hand said to me "Um well then can I save mine until I go Rock-climbing again?" I love his logic!
So it gets a big thumbs up from me and we most definately be going again.
How cool!! looks like such a fun day! xxx
