Follow February Day 11 - Date Night
I have mentioned before that when you have any amount of kids you have to be proactive in making regular time to connect without any little people around. When you have a heap of them you have to be REALLY super proactive.
At present finances don't allow us to go out too often and plus we don't like to leave our babies when they are just that, babies. So with a little bit of planning and sneakiness we have date nights home.
We feed the kids early and it's something usually pretty easy. Then when they are in bed and the older ones are tied up with a movie or gaming, we enjoy a nice quiet dinner and a cider.
Tonight's dinner was one of my favourite....Roast Vegetable Salad with Cous Cous in a Curry Dressing! Yummo!
This is really one of the only time that we get to talk in peace and not being interrupted and climbed all over.
Funny story whenever we try and sneak in a quick cuddle whether it be in the kitchen or wherever one of the little ones always spies us out and has to weasel their way in between our legs to be lifted up for a Frankie or Jesse "sandwich" or "squeeze". They love it. And I figure they will remember it forever!
The others on the other hand run screaming and pretended to gag! Lovely children!
